ABOUT THE PROJECT

The idea for the name of this project originated from a sculpture proposed by the designers of KOSHULYNSKYY & MAYER to adorn the open space area of the house. This sculpture also serves as a unique lamp, depicting a person with illuminated spheres inside.

This real estate offers a lot of art and understated artistic halftones; after all, it is a secondary residence located on the adjacent plot from the main residence. Unlike the family home, this space is intended for guests and recreational activities. It provides a private refuge for the head of the family to socialize with friends without disrupting his wife and children. Late-night movies, beer, and socializing are all welcomed here, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the routine of the household or add extra cleaning tasks for the wife. Additionally, friends or relatives are welcome to stay overnight.

After successfully creating the first house, which blends modern design and art (as seen in the IDA award-winning KM OBRIY project), the design of the guest room was entrusted to our team. The owner requested a cohesive design direction for the second real estate: a chamber setting in muted evening tones, subtle hints of Ukrainian ethnic style and modern art. Contrary to the first property, the emphasis here lies in the functionality and simplicity of the rooms, with a sauna included in this project.

The kitchen, organically arranged in an open space, has a more compact format but is completely functional to meet all needs. The spacious dining area, a fireplace and a movie-watching space are strategically combined to fall into the field of view of everyone in the living room.

Everything is designed for spending time together; wherever you are, it will be easy to converse with those sitting at the table and the others on the sofas. To realize the deep poetic textures of this room, tiles from the famous Italian brands REX Ceramiche and LAMINAM were used for the kitchen according to our interior designers’ project.

The bedroom is made according to the principle that our architecture and design company confidently offers for all formats of second real estate, namely a hotel-type bedroom that is comfortable, elegant, and tailored to the preferences of our clients. Cor-ten panels on the walls, combined with wood and leather accents, provide a pleasing tactile experience while maintaining an aesthetic appeal.

The deeply poetic and aesthetic project LIGHT INSIDE is designed to offer a relaxing and aesthetically pleasing environment; the perfect extension to the main family property with an emphasis on comfort, simplicity and beauty.
