ABOUT THE PROJECT

This harmonious house for a family with two children embodies modern ergonomics and is thoughtfully designed using a palette of natural colours and materials. The interior showcases expertly crafted design elements that lend a unique character, reflecting the family’s identity and lifestyle.

Central to the family’s vision was the desire to infuse their essence into the space while maintaining a sense of lightness and ease. The zoning and colour scheme flow seamlessly, reminiscent of a gentle stream, creating an inviting and cohesive atmosphere.

Blessed Home

KOSHULYNSKYY & MAYER envisioned the first floor as a vibrant day zone, smoothly integrating a living room, kitchen, dining area, and outdoor terraces. Additionally, practical service spaces such as a laundry room, garage and boiler room ensure functionality while complementing the overall design.

The architects skillfully infused a personal touch into the staircase design, reflecting the family’s history. Adjacent to the stairs, plaster inserts showcase the prints of the owners’ children, creating an “ethnic” relief that reveals itself upon closer inspection.
Additionally, a bit of modern ethnic aesthetics was added to the design of the fireplace, a distinctive creation by the studio’s designers and architects. The huge 1.2-meter-wide firebox looks impressive and effectively warms the second floor, thanks to its expanded heating sleeves. Its facade is adorned with a stone veneer panel, intricately cut to mirror the contours of mountains. This mountainous theme continues in the circular backlit panel that decorates the entrance area, seamlessly tying the design together.
All these features are thoughtfully positioned within the recreation area of the first floor, creating a cohesive atmosphere. Natural lighting plays a crucial role in the overall concept and is used against the background of natural materials such as veneer, wood, caramel-coloured leather of the furniture, ceramic base of the fireplace and kitchen facades.

The lighting design has been carefully crafted to emphasize the impressive height of the open space. In the evening, delicate fixtures beautifully reflect in the glass facades of the staircase, while pendant lights above the sofas evoke the delicate appearance of spring flowers, further enhancing the natural feel of the environment.

The entire second floor is devoted to private rooms, each featuring its own dressing room, bathroom and terrace. The mountain motif is particularly striking in the parents’ bedroom, where illuminated stucco panels above the bed imitate the mountains’ reliefs and clouds. The mirrors, furnishings and even the carpet’s intricate patterns continuously draw inspiration from the smooth lines and textures found in nature. The room’s colour scheme blends earthy ash tones with light sandy shades, accented by natural and textured fabrics.

The children’s rooms, thoughtfully designed as self-sufficient modules complete with their own bathrooms, dressing rooms and terraces, follow a “growing up” theme. The bedroom of the younger girl features vibrant wallpaper and a glamorous bed, creating a playful atmosphere that, with minimal adjustments, will easily transition into a space suited to her evolving tastes.

For the boy’s room, the designers presented a sophisticated approach aimed at a teenager, avoiding themes like Cars or Marvel and preferring a certain dynamism of colours that reflects his personality. A standout design element is the veneered wall panels in the sleeping area, elegantly framed by backlit edges.

Currently in its final stages of construction, the Blessed Home family house embodies a vision grounded in nature, lightness and modern ergonomic design. It reflects the unique story of this family and accommodates the needs of their two growing children.
